Best Ever Burger Sauce

Take your burgers to the next level with a seriously good sauce. No 4th of July BBQ is complete without burgers, and no burger is complete without sauce. Whisk together the following ingredients, and refrigerate until needed, then serve on your tasty burgers. Easy!

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons sweet pickle relish
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Homemade Coleslaw

4th July Coleslaw

There’s nothing better than homemade coleslaw. A key part of any 4th of July cookout or BBQ, it’s important to get the coleslaw right. Prepare the below ingredients and mix together just before serving for fresh, flavorsome coleslaw. Serves about 10 – so get the family round and enjoy this 4th of July recipe!

  • 1 medium cabbage outer leaves removed
  • 3 medium carrots, peeled and shredded
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

4th of July Dessert

4th July Sponge

Top a cake with blueberries and strawberries for the ultimate patriotic dessert. Make a sponge cake and ice with white frosting before decorating with strawberries and blueberries to create a red white and blue effect that screams 4th July!

If you’re not much of a baker, you can buy meringue nests and fill them with whipped cream, strawberries and blueberries for the same effect, less effort!
